Beginning on June 23rd, the Nassau County police
are planning a gun buyback program.
Any individual
who turns in operable handguns will be paid two hundred dollars in cash.
Licensed guns, BB guns, air pistols, long guns and replicas will not be accepted.
The program will run from 9 a.m. until noon at Union Baptist
Church, located at 24 Clinton C. Boone Place in Hempstead.
