As we all already know, summer is the perfect time for
entertaining. The almost perfect sunny daytime weather and the breezy nights is
the perfect excuse to plan a great get together.
Here are a few tips to throw a great summer house party:
Invite an Interesting Mix of People – Getting together a
group of old friends is always great, but it’s also exciting to meet new
people! Invite new friends and friends of friend to keep your party interesting
and fun! Also, be sure to have an even number of men and women.
“Invent” Servants- Get your guests to pitch in! Have your
guests help you with food preparation, serving, dishes and cleaning up! This
way these tasks get done quicker and the host can enjoy the party as well!
Plan a Couple of Diversions – Plan activities for your
guests so no one gets bored and awkwardly stands around and feels out of place!
Perhaps you can wager fortunes on a card game or take a walk to your local town
or village. Also, have plenty of comfortable seating available with your guests
will interesting books set up on the tables!
If none of these ideas appeal to you, throw a relaxing movie weekend. Plan each night around a specific movie theme and throwback with your
guests on the couch and enjoy some popcorn and candy!
