The USA soccer team clinched a last minute win in extra-time
to seal their spot in the women’s Football final with a 4-3 victory over
Canada! This is not the first time the USA women’s team has made it to the
finals with a thrilling come from behind win!
The final match for the USA team will be a repeat of last year’s
match up in the World Cup final against Japan. Last year, the top ranked USA
team lost to Japan on penalty kicks.
The Americans were preparing for a shootout before USA’s
Alex Morgan won the game for the team! Morgan’s 10-yard header went over
Canadian goalkeeper Erin McLeod’s head, avoiding a shootout.
