Islanders Defeat the Penguins Last Night to Even Up Series!

The New York Islanders defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins last night in 6-4 win at Nassau Coliseum last night! Last night’s win for the Islanders evened up the series for the Isles in the first-round of the Stanley Cup playoff series.
The Isles were trailing by one goal until early in the third period. John Tavares scored the goal to give the Isles a lead over the Penguins in the third period and then held on to lead them to a 6-4 victory.
According to the New York Times, John Tavares said, “You put so much effort to get into the playoffs, you want to make the most of it. We believe in this room that we can play with any team in this league. We have much more to accomplish.”
