John Kaley, 27, the Connecticut driver who fell asleep at
the wheel and crashed his truck into Nassau County Police Officer Michael
Califano on the LIE, pleaded guilty today to a lesser charge of reckless
driving and will not go to jail.
The judge in the case granted an order to dismiss the charge
of criminally negligent homicide against Kaley who struck Officer Califano in February
of 2011.
