Panera Bread is helping out to stop hunger on Long Island. September
is National Hunger Awareness Month and Panera Bread is helping to support
Island Harvest, Long Island’s largest hunger relief organization.
The initiative is called “Take a Bite out of Hunger” food
collection drive, and will begin on Monday, September 17 and will run until
Friday, September 21. Panera Bread is welcoming donations of non-perishable
food items to Island Harvest and is repaying customers who drop off one or more
can or box before 11 a.m. with a free grilled breakfast sandwich of their choice!
