Snowy conditions can make your commute to work dangerous.  Even a flurry can make roads slippery.  Take precautions this Winter by keeping your car in good condition.

Here are six tips on how to survive the rest of the Winter, while keeping you and your car safe:

  • Slow Down - Remember to drive slowly when it is snowing.  Snowy and icy conditions decrease visibility and increase your risk of sliding.
  • Check Tire Pressure - Tires lose about 1 lb of pressure per every 10 degree drop in temperature.  This can add up to 3-4 lbs over time.
  • Routine Check Ups - Make sure your headlights, tail lamps and brakes are in good working condition.
  • Check Wipers - Make sure your wipers are in good condition and that you have enough washer fluid.
  • Rubber Floor Mats - Investing in rubber mats can keep snow, water, and salt from staining the carpet.
  • Scotch Guard - Protect your carpets and upholstery from stains.
