Fireworks on Long Island Happening this Holiday Week!

This independence day should be spent with your family and friends gathered around some fireworks. When was the last time you really experienced this holiday like it should be? Here on Long Island, there many locations planning on putting together these amazing colorful displays. No matter where you are on the Island, you are only a few miles away from a Fourth of July you won’t soon forget.

Below are all locations that will be showing fireworks on July 3rd only.


1. The Greenport Fire Department Carnival, located on Moores Lane in Greenport NY.The show begins at 10pm and the rain date is said to be on July 7th.


2. Umbrella Beach, located on Old Montauk Highway in Montauk NY. The fireworks will begin at 9pm  and will be seen from nearly any beach in the Montauk area. The rain date will be set for July 7th.


    Below are all the locations that will be displaying fireworks from July 3rd until July 4th.


1. Village of Asharoken, located in Asharoken NY Begins at 9:20pm,best public viewing spots are Crab Meadow Beach, Waterside Avenue and Northport. Parking is limited to Town of Huntington residents only.


2. Village of East Hills, located on 209 Harbor Hill Road, East Hills NY. The show will begin promptly at 9pm. The best viewing is open only to the village residents but the public can see the colorful display on Glen Cove Road. Keep in mind that parking is limited. The rain date is set for July 7th.    


3. Pennysaver Amphitheater at Bald Hill, located on 55 S Bicycle Path, Selden NY. The best viewing will be any seating in front of the amphitheater, the show begins at 9:30pm.


4. Morgan park, located on Germaine Street and Landing Road, Glen Cove NY. The fireworks display will begin at 9pm.  Because parking is limited, there will be additional parking offered at landing Elementary School. The rain date is set for July 7th.


Below are all locations that will be displaying fireworks on July 4th.


1.Great South Bay, located in Great South Bay NY. Fireworks will be shot from a barge on 9:30pm. The best viewing will be among the Captree Fleet boats. Admissions: $45-$56.


2. The Suffolk Theater, located on 118 E. Main Street in Riverhead NY. There will be swing, dance and a Dixieland performance that includes food and fireworks. The show begins at 6pm and all are welcomed.


Below are all locations that will be showing fireworks after the fourth.


1. The Fresh Air Home’s American Picnic Benefit, located in Shinnecock Bay in Southampton NY. Admissions: $250 for adults and $100 for ages 20 and younger. Tickets includes dinner, carnival and dancing. The benefit begins at 9:15pm sharp.


2. Peconic Bay Medical Center Family festival, located on Moores Lane in Greenport NY. The show begins on July 6th at 10pm, the rain date is set for July 8th.


3. The Riverhead Raceway, located on 1791 Old Country Road in Riverhead NY. The show begins July 6th after dark, the best viewing is from inside the raceway itself. Admissions will be #30 for adults and $5 for ages 6-12.


4. Centennial Park, located on Ocean Avenue in Rockville Centre NY. The festivities begin July 6th at 9:15pm and the rain date is July 8th.


5. Talfor Boat Basin, located on Main Street and Front Street in East Rockaway NY. The show begins July 6th at 9:30pm on the nose . There will be carnival rides, games, live music, a petting zoo, water rides, vendors and fireworks.


6. Riverside Boulevard, located on Riverside Boulevard in Longbeach NY. The fireworks begin 9pm on July 12th at the Long Beach Arts and Crafts Festival.


7. The Christ Episcopal Church of Oyster Bay, located on 61 E. main street in Oyster Bay NY. The festivities begin 4pm on July 14.


8. The Stimson School, located on 401 Oakwood Road in Huntington Station NY. The Fireworks will be lit on July 17th at 9:30pm.


9. John J. Burnes Park, located on 4990 Merrick Road in Massapequa NY. The show will be set for Tuesday July 16th at 7:30pm.
