If you find yourself at the scene of a car accident, here's what you should do:
  1. Immediately after the crash check to see if anyone in either vehicle requires medical assistance. Perform first aid, or call an ambulance.
  2. If the vehicles are blocking the roadway or highway, and can be moved, they should be moved to a safe position. If not, someone should warn approaching traffic and keep people from wandering in the paths of oncoming cars.
  3. Call 911 for the police or highway patrol.
  4. Get contact information of any witnesses.
  5. Exchange insurance information and drivers' license numbers with other drivers involved in the car accident.
  6. If there is a camera or cell phone camera available, begin taking pictures of all sides of the vehicles, of the scene of the accident, and of injuries.
  7. Call the Law Offices of Louis D. Stober, Jr., at 877-791-8076.
