On Thursday Sept. 26, Sang Ho Kim, 64, of Long Island shot
CEO of Garden City's Save Energy, John Choi. Choi is in critical condition after being shot
in the head. Kim killed another employee during the time of the shooting.
Eyewitness News
reports Kim was “a disgruntled vendor” and is not at large. Kim’s white Honda
Pilot was found in Putnam County, near Philipstown. Nassau County Executive Ed
Mangano tells Eyewitness News police
are searching the wooded area in the town the car was abandoned.
Mangano would not comment if a weapon was found or answer
any questions regarding a suicide message from Kim to his sister. The main
focus is to search the area until it is safe.
Putnam County Sheriff Donald Smith tells Eyewitness News, some of the land is
unmanageable by vehicles or ATVs so officers have to continue the search on
foot. Kim is said to be 6-foot-2 and considered armed.
Choi is described as a well-respected businessman. He is now
talking and aware of what happened. Choi remains at Nassau University Medical
Center. As for Choi’s employee, the identity has not been released to the
