A middle school principal faces charges for lying on state related paper work about having a criminal record. John O’Mard was principal of Freeport Middle School until school officials were lead to believe O’Mard submitted false documentation. (News 12)
News 12 reports O’Mard “was charged back in March with having non-consensual sex with a 16-year old boy he met online.” Back in the 1990s O’Mard was charged with grand larceny.
The documents O’Mard gave documents to Freeport School District containing a false birthdate, social security number and back in march News 12 reported he submitted false fingerprints.
Now he faces charges including giving a false instrument, perjury, and defrauding the government. O’Mard’s defense attorney tells News 12 Freeport School District knew about the false documentation and did not bring it up until the charges about the non-consensual sex was known.
