The grievance of Alex Rodriguez to revoke the 211 game
suspension he faces will resume on Monday. Due to “flue-like symptoms”
Rodriguez could not appear for the hearing last week. (USA Today)
Major League Baseball and the players’ association suspended
Rodriguez and 14 other MLB players for using performance-enhancing drugs
provided by Anthony Bosch of a Florida anti-aging clinic. (USA Today)
One of Rodriguez’s attorneys told USA Today, the MLB purchased documents of Rodriguez from Bosch. The
documentation provided information about Rodriguez’s injuries. A police
investigation has been reopened to determine how MLB and the player’s
association really obtained the documents.
The hearing could go for 10 straight days. MLB is trying to
go through all the testimonies before Thanksgiving. They are also enforcing
that Rodriguez cannot testify for himself. (USA Today)
Rodriguez was once suspended for using substances like human
growth hormone and testosterone when playing for the Texas Rangers from 2001-03.
