The Penn State football programs fate was determined early Monday morning by the NCAA. The NCAA ruled that the last 14 years of Joe Paterno’s career victories be wiped away.

The program is also facing a tremendous amount of fines and penalties because of the actions of Coach Joe Paterno, who passed away in January. Penn State is also facing $60 million in unprecedented fines. As well as fines and penalties, the University will have to sit out in the post season for four years.

Any player who was planning to attend Penn State University in the fall and participate on the football team is free to transfer immediately and compete at another college or university.

The NCAA is holding Penn State University accountable for the “failure of those in power to protect children and insists that all areas of the university community are held to the same standards of honesty and integrity.”

What are your thoughts on what has happened over the past few months at Penn State University? Do you think the NCAA ruling is fair or unfair? Let us know what you think on our Facebook page, linked HERE!
